Igwe Ndubueze Johnpaul

Igwe Ndubueze Johnpaul is a Nigerian Diplomat, philanthropist, and business magnate from Nkpor Anambra state. In 2010 he was appointed the CEO of Goldenchild Football Academy, a position he held until 2012, when he founded his first entrepreneurial outfit Igwe Autos World, one of Nigeria’s leading auto dealerships.

Born in Anambra in 1946, Igwe Pope (Igwe Ndubueze Johnpaul) holds a bachelor’s degree and an honorary doctorate from the Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics, Ghana. Before completing his educational pursuits, he was notable for contributing to community and welfare development. By 2006 and in recognition of his contribution, he was appointed to the board of The Golden Child Academy, a position he held until his eventual appointment as CEO of the same outfit.

Described as a visionary, Igwe Ndubueze Johnpaul direct-to-action leadership style was a key factor in his rapid accent to succeed professionally and politically. He quickly reorganized The Goldenchild Football Academy transforming it into a leading Hubspot for talent cultivation in Nigeria’s South-East. Those same leadership traits, paired with a deep understanding of automobiles and the Nigerian car importation scene, helped him pivot his fledging business Igwe Autos into a multinational business conglomerate.

He was awarded the Doctor Fellow of CIPRMP award for his business and commercial success at the inaugural Council of Fellows, Ghana event. In September of 2022, he has conferred the Nelson Mandela Leadership Award of Excellence and Integrity for his contributions to Nation building at the grassroots in his hometown and continentally in sub–Saharan Africa. In September of the same year, the West African Youth Council’s Conseil de la Jeunesse de la cedar made him the West African Youth Ambassador.

Asides from his entrepreneurial and philanthropic pursuits, Igwe Ndubueze Johnpaul, is well known for his mentorship of performant young entrepreneurs. In a 2022 interview, he highlighted the many challenges entrepreneurs face locally and abroad while emphasizing his commitment to helping many scale the same hurdles he faced in his start-up days. His foundation in Nigeria is focused on Entrepreneurs who demonstrate a knack for new ideas.

Igwe Ndubueze Johnpaul on thinking outside the box, as he puts it – ‘It may seem tough at the initial stage when you don’t have any means of support, but with prayers and resilience and doggedness, one can start on a level and begin to build. Therefore, I urge my fellow youth to think outside the box regarding voting rights, even socially and economically.’
